Broodstock Station

Coordinator: Hipolito Fernandez Palacios. The GIA has a broodstock of several marine fish species of commercial interest: amberjack (Seriola dumerili, Seriola rivoliana), white trevally (Pseudocaranx dentex), meagre (Argyrosomus regius), sea bream (Sparus aurata), redbanded sea bream (Pagrus auriga) and red porgy (Pagrus pagrus). The broodstock station shows the following tanks:

  • 2 tanks 80 m3 "raceway"
  • 6 circular tanks of 40 m3
  • 24 rectangular tanks 10 m3
  • 4 circular tanks of 4 m3
