African entrepreneurs visit the facilities of GIA-ULPGC in Taliarte (Las Palmas)

On the occasion of the activity “Interchange of enterprising experiences between the Canary Islands and Africa”, organized by the University of Las Palmas Gran Canaria within the framework of the COEMPRENDE project, a group of African entrepreneurs visited the experimental rearing facilities of the Aquaculture Research Group (GIA) (Telde, Las Palmas). In particular, entrepreneurs of Agro Business Center (University Gaston Berger- Saint-Louis, Senegal) and Peixeria Paiva and Silva (University of Cabo Verde) attended the guided visit of the facilities and the explanation of main research lines, showing great interest to develop the aquaculture in their countries.  



Equipment purcharse for the GIAgen service

As carry out the MINECO, UNLP10-3E-461 infrastructure project, it has got the Aquaculture Research Group (Grupo  Investigacion Acuicultura, GIA) and that responsible is Dra. Maria Jesus Zamorano, it has been adquired a workstation Tecan –Freedom EVO-100) customized for process of nucleic acids extractions, allow us to perform more effectively its services GIAgen.
